Ah, the rain.
Okay, hear me out.
Because I know you're already thinking, "why would I EVER want to shoot in the rain, Brendan!?" I get it. Me neither. But, is it all that bad?
So why do I bring this up? Well, on a recent engagement session with Kate and Alex, they were absolutely set on having their session in Toronto at High Park while all of the leaves were changing their colours because c'mon. Ontario in the autumn? Does it get any better?!
As we got closer to their session, the forecast for their Sunday morning sunrise session was saying one thing. And one thing only. Rain. Rain. Rain. Alex and I went back and forth discussing our options, thinking about another weekend in the surrounding weeks that we may be able to postpone to, but ultimately when it comes to mother nature, it ain't waiting on no one. Those leaves were falling and they were falling fast!
So as we approached the morning of we decided, "you know what? Let's just take our chances and give it a shot." Am I glad that we did? Abso-fricken-lutely. This led to us being the only people in the park, it created an incredible sense of intimacy between Kate and Alex, and gave such a stillness to all of the images we were creating during our time together.
